I was wondering if aftermarket seat brackets/rails would fit on OEM s13 or s14 seats to help me sit lower, because when I wear a helmet, it hits the roof, (I have a long torso). I don't want to get a low sitting racing seat like Bride Low Max just yet because of the $$$ factor and it's my daily driver so I want something comfortable still. But if that is my only option....
HELP! Planning on going to events in March.

Why don't you just take the stock seats out and see if you can cut the stock brackets and make it sit a couple inches lower? Do you have a welder? You could easily do it yourself if you did.

Hahaha ... I thought this was gonna be about lowering the CAR, that is until I read inside! :chuckle: Anyway, maybe a cheap fix is to lean the seat back and pull it forward a bit? Although, I know that may not work for your ideal driving position ... just a thought. Is your headliner removed already?

Patrick- Have you seen anyone do that before? Also from what I remember, the design of the brackets just doesn't have a lot of room for cutting. All I need is to go about 1 inch lower...

Scotty- Lean back thing won't work for proper driving position haha And headliner won't do anything because I have an aftermarket sunroof, and it's that sunroof's bracket that is what's getting in the way =(

I thought about that too ... my Kirky race seat was not expensive at all, sits lower than the stock seat, you could modify some universal seat rails (or fabricate), and also remove some material from the seat cushion bottom, or remove it altogether come race day.
