212 Fahrenheit is how hot the air is under you hood when you're putting through traffic.sanioll wrote:You know I was all into these chemicals and still clean my engine every six months. You spray it on, and wash it off and it shines.
I heard from someone that steam cleaning is the only way to go. For extreme deep cleaning and shining easily, steam cleaning will do the job.
I wonder what will it do when you clean over the gaskets and stuff. steam is real hot. assuming the water inside the steam cleaner boils at 100 celcius at an ocean level, then steam will be the molecules that escape that are a bit higher temperatures. So Steam that is hitting your engine will be over 212 Farenheit. You can actually melt some gaskets.
any ideas?? anyone ever cleaned their engine with carpet steam cleaners??
p.s. so just grab mom's steam cleaner and shine your engine
