This is for s13 sr20det. I already have the Trust Oil Cooler and I'm trying to figure out which set up to use. There seem to be essentially 3 options.

The first is just a basic adapter with two hose fittings

Then there is the adapter with four hose fittings and thermostat

Then there is the plate that replaces the stock oil block and has two hose fittings

I would prefer the plate block then go to relocated filter then to oil cooler and back. For the adapter with 4 hose fittings how is that set up? Are you supposed to use 2 for the cooler and 2 for a second relocated filter? Also, how much of a difference does a thermostat make, does it do a good job of making sure oil pressure stays consistent?

A block would have less areas to leak and clear up some room under that area.
You just put the oil cooler inbetween the return line after the filter.
If you have a large oil cooler, it's good to have a thermostat which closes until you warm up.

I will be using greddy oil cooler and greddy oil pan so there will be lots of oil in the system. If I wanted to use a thermostat I would have to go with the greddy adapter that has it. I do not believe there are any oil blocks with built in thermostats. I suppose I could run a block and just use an inline thermostat in the AN line, but I'd have to track one of those down.
