Anybody got any good suggestions on selling an early Q? So far I've tried craigslist and the Infiniti for sale forum here, but with really minimal response. What are some of the successful ways (or sites) you guys have bought and sold early Qs?

The value is so low on such a old car, might as well donate it to a charity and take the tax deduction and feel good about helping out a charitable organisation.

How much you looking to sell it for and give some details here. I would second qship's recommendation on the donation route if you have north of 150k and cosmetics are poor. Otherwise I have used Autotrader very successfully in the past. I guess I am old school and use that well before I would use Craigs list to sell a car. You might find somone that is looking for that car 400-600 miles away.

but if you have a ton of miles, tons of stuff going wrong, charity makes life much easier.

Get in touch with your neighbor InfinitiGuy19. He needs a nice Q, has a job and should be able to scrape the $$ together or get a signature loan. With all the problems he's had with his Q he'd be saving money in the long run by buying yours. See if you can work out something with him.

Hey, I've seen yours on Providence CL lately. It's red with the shamu interior, which kicks a**. It looks really clean, and if I had any money coming in ATM, I'd consider it. But you're charging too much. $3k is just too much for a car with that mileage and age. I've got a 96 with 95k on it and I wouldn't expect to get that much back on it, even though I've put at least $1200 into it the last year and a half.

Providence CL seems to have a lot of overpriced cars on there. I've been looking for a Mazda 929 project and theres a '92 for sale with 106k that the guy tried to get $3800 for, lol! He's still asking $2800 6 months later; he'll wind up keeping it.

Thanks guys-
To answer the first few posts, the car is a very clean example of the original Q--114k miles and other than a fender that has a a dent that probably should be replaced, is near mint. So I'd hate to junk it or donate it just because it's not that far from being pristine and would like to see it go to a happy home. I've got a couple pics here:

I saw a recent early Q fetch pretty good money on ebay, so I'll go the autotrader and ebay route this weekend and see what happens, and then I do have a couple offers that I'll look at.

Masshead--I hear you on the price, it was just a starting point, and yeah, like you I'm into it easy for 1500 or so in the last year or so, possibly a bit more.

Thanks guys.

Wow, the paint is really nice and that shows nice. Man, those pie pan 15" rims are the only thing that scream early 90's. Autotrader with that nice shine should get some views.

If it has had the timing chain guides upgraded (or any other components for that matter) -- list it in the advertisement.
