My insurance is up for renew and State Farm wants to charge me 750 for six month. Dont know why it went from 612 to 750  over six month consider I never I never got a ticket, collision but I think it expensive.

I've heard that if you use an reputable independent insurance agent you'll get a cheaper rate but I've never try it before. I also tried getting a quote from geico, allstate and a few other but after you purchase with them they jack up their premium after they did a "check" on your driving record.

If you guy have tips let me and other forum readers know.

I have had good luck with a local independent insurance agent. I'm 60 and live in Idaho with a clean 5 year record.
I was with Farmer's and they kept raising my premium so I dumped them. It seems the best thing is to change every year to a new carrier but what a pita that would be.
I'm under $600 for the whole year with my 07 hatch, but I have relatively low liability coverage with a $1000 deductible to damage on my car. I'm constantly getting offers to switch carriers through the mail.
Good Luck

I wouldn't mind jumping ship either. State Farm has been slowing increasing the price on my insurance. Actually the knocked it up by a good $240 per year all for the crime of buying a new car. It's gone up another $40 (I know not a lot) this year. Starting to feel like I'm paying a lot on insurance and getting no rewards for never having a ticket, accident or having ever filed a claim. I've shopped around with Geico and the other's but most are at least a good 250 or so more expensive per year.

Maybe I should just up the deductible as you have and bring the liability down a bit. I'm currently insured for everything known to man on this car, they cover roadside assist, rental car, medical bills, hotels if stranded etc.
