armor all speeds up the time it takes for the dash to crack and fade.CodeRed wrote:I use armor all spray inside on dash and ect if this is bad let me know? i love it leaves it clean not slippery and shiney. and for the outside, i just wash my car
Not true. This is a fallacy which has been going around since the late 70's. Armor All was only known for cracking vinyl and plastic when they used their original formula, but now it works just fine. Most people don't like it because it is so greasy or because they know a better product, but if your dash is cracked and you've used Armor All, chances are that it is from something else.Clipsed wrote:armor all speeds up the time it takes for the dash to crack and fade.
I find that using a damp cloth works fine. I've heard that Armor All isn't good so I'm not going to risk it. BTW my dash looks great (I still don't have my Versa yet... this is on my Beetle).CodeRed wrote:I use armor all spray inside on dash and ect if this is bad let me know? i love it leaves it clean not slippery and shiney. and for the outside, i just wash my car
Yea it really isn't, I really love to use coconut creme on plastic interior and exterior panels, but the V is still too new for me to go to that extent, and till this day I have still not used polish on the interior except for the running sills on the inside as this gets a lot of traffic, dirt, and scuffs. The coconut creme makes the interior smell great while adding shine and protection, but a lot of people do not like it as it is quite oily. I like to put it on, and take a clean rag and wipe it all off, still shiny, and next to no oily residue.ms_stylin_versa wrote:I find that using a damp cloth works fine. What about butter and chicken grease. I find that these work well even on skin. J/K So are you talking about like regular coconut cream people use? Like the stuff that my wife buys at Bath and Body Works?Clipsed wrote:

no I mean coconut creme shine and protectant, around here they sell it at the swap meets for $10, same stuff they use at car washs on your tires, exterior panels, interior panels, and basically any rubber or plastic. Lasts for a hell of a long time. I remember doing every nook and cranny of my 01 Mustang GT with it one time, including the top (that was a pain in the *** to buff off but I did it) And wherever it was, it lasted for probably 6 months you could still tell it was shiny except for the tires of course as the speed of them and all the dirt that gets on them wear out within about a month.proxim2020 wrote:What about butter and chicken grease.
