#1 A DEALER CAN NOT VOID A WARRANTY. They can only make that recommendation to the warranty company. If a dealer won't honor a warranty from Nissan, try another dealer & call 1-800-NISSAN-1.
#2 THE WARRANTY COMPANY MUST PROVE YOUR ALTERATION CAUSED THE FAILURE. This is not state specific, it is FEDERAL LAW.
Do you let your dealer push you around? Autonation in Denver is like that, so they will never get any of my business again. I put on a suspension lift & larger tires and a motor mount broke driving around town. Autonation said the part wasn't covered, but I went to a better dealer & they honored the warranty. A dealer makes a killing off warranty & recall work if they have good technicians. Nissan pays set times for each repair, if they complete it faster, they still get paid for the fixed time at that shops rate.
