Best way to get at my intake mani? (I've lost me nipple!)

So I was working on my car a while back and noticed an injector was loose in its seat, so I took the rail off and took it out to see why, and the small plastic nipple cap thing had come off of it. I looked in the hole and could see it, but despite my best surgical efforts, it fell back into the intake mani.

I'm now just wondering how to go about getting to it the easiest way. I was going to take the intake mani off, but have read it's just as, if not easier to take it and the head off together, but that sounds like a whole lot of things to be disassembling without having gaskets to replace and all that.

Any good advice here? I'd love to just ignore it, but I feel like ignoring solid objects inside my intake isn't the wisest move ever.

Take the intake mani off, but hopefully it didn't fall into the head.
