when you're filling the system, unscrew that bolt and fill the radiator until you see fluid start to leak out of that hole. Then replace the bolt, fill the radiator up all the way, and turn the car on. once the car reaches operating temperature, the thermostat will open up, and you can finish filling in the radiator if the level drops any.mmashburn wrote:whats the best way to avoid getting air in the system?? also what is the purpose of the little air pressure release screw that is on coolant elbow near the thermostat?
