I'm a lil new in the turbo game, but far from new in the car game, so don't try to flame here. I have a turbo and have no clue what the trim is. What's a good way to check the trim on this thing?

Remove the compressor or turbine housing depending on which one you are checking. Measure the major diameter(outer most point of the wheel) and minor diameter(The edge at the crown of the wheel). Go to the turbonetics website and check your measurements against their listed dimensions. You can find it on the compressor maps. Or list them here and I can check them against my catalog.

C-Kwik, I'm assuming you mean the smaller fins on the turbo, when you mean inner diameter. I'm checking the compressor side right now.The outer diameter in inches is 2.756The inner diameter is 2.300So this puts it in what trim if I measured it right?

T04B-H-3 by Turbonetics trim names. This is the biggest T04B aside from the 60-1 and 62-1.

So what kind of hp can this turbo put out? Also, what kind of spool time can I expect from a sohc KA with this turbo? The other info on this turbo is Garrett, w/ .70 A/R on compressor housing and .82 exhaust side.
