I have just ordered a new g37 with the new "scratch shield" paint. Any reccomendations on the best polish/wax to use for this type of paint? The car is Aspen Pearl

I get the feeling you will get a lot of votes for Zaino here. I don't believe they do a wax but they have great car care packages. I use it and love it. Sounds like you're willing to invest the time to keep it looking nice so definitely check out Zaino.

I have tried about every 'auto store' wax there is (except Mothers). I believe Zaino is probably the way to go if you want to spend the time. Of the off the shelf waxes I like ICE (paste) the best. Goes on well, comes off well, and leaves a nice shine that last for awhile. I will try Mothers soon but for now I use ICE. However I don't think you could possibly go wrong with Zaino. I have seen its results on many car forums and about the only bad thing I have heard is you need to plan on taking awhile (some use it over night and do so in a garage) to do the entire treatment.

My car is black (2008), you will have an easier time for sure.

I use Zaino on all of our cars. (sorry, no G37 experience)It doesn't take any longer than any other polish, you just have to put in on VERY THIN! I also use the Zaino car wash and detail spray.

I owned a detail business for three years and I have used all types of waxes. I have used Zaino and off the shelf waxes, too. (ie. Ice). The best wax to use on a black car is made by Ardex and is called Topaz. It is PURE carnauba with no additives. I used it on a ladies black Yukon and she gave me a $100 tip it looked so good. Since I am not in the business anymore I use Eagle one NANO wax. After washing the car I just spray it on and wipe it off. Everyone that sees my car comments on how much it shines. Hope this helps.
