Best video editing software?

What program do you guys reccomend for editing home videos and making little compilations and what not? I've been using windows movie moaker and it is fairly easy. what do you use?

i use premier. i have avid too, but haven't figured out how to use it yet.

Best? Definitely Final Cut Pro but that's not PC compatible.

Adobe Premiere is pretty good too.

Also depends on what you're looking to do. For basic home movies and stuff like that, Premiere is definitely good enough.

Pinnacle is the easiest to use, if not the most capable. And its cheap.

Avid Cinema pwns! I used it for like a year in high school before my school got Premier. But Premier is well suited in my opinion for making movies at home, ie compliations or whatever, it's very easy to use.

From my experiences I agree with Vicki, Final Cut pro is the best for MAC. For PC on the other hand Premiere is no doubt the best.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the latest is 6. I can check tomorrow when I get to work.

I think 7 is out already, bcuz I've had 6.5 for quite awhile.
