Well another Texas summer is coming and I'm thinking a nice vented hood would help to keep my SR's operating temps down. I've looked online at various hoods, but wanted some real world feedback on different brands and styles of hoods. Ideally, I'd like to keep cost to around $500-600. But if the hood is nice enough, I'd be willing to shell out a little more. Thanks for all your help guys.

i have the vis hood for the zenki 14 the vent is in an awkward place. the way it is designed the vent is right over the radiator. when i get back from japan in june im gonna get some aluminum and cut some on the hood so that the drop vent actually drops down behind the radiator and pulls air through it instead of pulling the air over the top of the radiator..kinda pointless to have a koyo if the hood takes air away from it.

go to the installs and it shows you how to do a homemade vented hood looks good and plus then you have an excuse to get a new paintjob

Yeah, I've seen the VIS vented hood for the S14 and heard that it's not really all that functional. Plus it looks like it comes with holes for the windshield squirters, which I don't want. MSport hood is REALLY nice, but pricey (might have to bite the bullet on this one) Never seen the Yashio hood though...might have to search around a bit more. Keep the comments coming

Went to Yashio Factory's website. Couldn't understand too much, but found this nice pic of an S14. Is that the Yashio Factory vented hood? And what about that front bumper? I think I'm in love

Are those the German glass headlamps? I've seen them close up, but never actually installed on a zenki before. They look damn nice
