With that broad a figure there's no one reasonable solution.
If you knew what it was like to drive 4cyl turbo cars with 300 and 500hp, then you wouldn't be asking this question, and not because you'd already know specifically which turbos to get- but because you'd have a vague enough understanding of the characteristics of turbocharging to know it's a silly question to ask.
Start off by trusting that 300hp will be more than fast enough for you, and then learn what the differences are between a GT28R and T3 turbo and how they effect torque curves vs peak hp and you'll begin to understand the answers to your own questions better than anyone could ever answer for you.
