I would love to make a fast autocross car, but when you sit down and think about it, it is very very hard to make the fastest. And you step into a whole new relm of body mods, and things you would never need until you go to race on the track. Sorry to say, but im building a civic for that. The 240 DD will just be fast as hell in a straight line.

I'm going to bring this thread back up to the top because nobody has discussed the T3/T04E 50 trim compressor in a .50 housing, with a stage III turbine wheel and .48 a/r housing. It's something I'm considering for a 300hp max QUICK spooling setup. What do you guys think? Too small?

OR, the Precision Turbo SC44...has the equivalent of a stage 3 turbine wheel in a .48a/r housing...while the compressor is a 60 trim in probably a .60 or .70 housing. Supposed to be good for hp in the 400's...but should spool really well

If you want spool right away the .48 Ar is the way to go. Restrictive up top but if your only looking for 300 max, it should be just fine.

How restrictive up top? Are you going to be choking with power dropping off, or is it not that bad?

Hmmm, tough decision...it'll have stock rims with either 215 or 225 tires on the back...so I dont know if it'll build boost so quickly I'll have MAJOR traction problems off the line or not. Sure would be fun though...I'll probably just go for the .63 because its been proven to work well and the nice equal length manifold I should have should help spool it up a bit better too.

You can also opt for a ball bearing center housing which should give you slightly better spool-up.

Yeah - I'm guilty of stating that .48 A/R on the hot side will choke it, but with a Stage III wheel, it'll probably be OK...but be sure to use the 50-trim compressor.

My constant .48 coments are usually refering to stock ("stage I") turbines...

C-Kwik...that's a bit out of my price range right now ;) I've spent a LOT of money on the other fun stuff...equal length mani (from http://www.import-autoperformance.com Marc is a really nice guy to talk too) ross pistons, pauter rods, new engine and transmission, s-afcII, aeromotive fpr, fuel pump, and I'm trying to snag some 444cc injectors for sale right now too.
