AMSOIL 75-90 gl4

Its a true GL4, a lot of the fluids out there now are gl4/gl5. Id rather stick with something thats specifically intended for my car.

you can also use the Pennzoil Synchromesh; it's good with getting rid of the grinding, and you can get it at your local parts store. it's the same stuff as GM Synchromesh which sells alot more.

+1...my second gear grinded pretty bad and third gear was a little better but was still rough. A week after switching to the mt-90 they are all gone. That was 20K ago and the transmission still shifts good.

either redline MT90

or

Penzoil Synchromesh

Any real gear lube is better then running your standard 75w-90 oil.

I have lways supported Lucas Oil. They sponsor a lot of racers and had a kickass booth at SEMA. Good people as a whole IMO.

Redline would be my #2.

What did you decide to go with? I'm a big fan of Syncromesh in Honda transmissions, but they use yellow metals. I don't know what's in Nissans.

After the side by side tests I have seen by people with nothing to gain from either being better than the other, I will never use Lucas products. Not even to start a fire...

Not that I'm putting you down Jook. I've thought about Amsoil, as one of the tool trucks that comes by work carries it. Never tried any Red Line products though.

I have used Redline MT-90 and it took away some griding, and now that my motor got pulled and all that stuff,

I'll be going back with AMSOIL MTG 75w-90(NOT SEVERE GEAR). With all of amsoill's testing and "proof" of their product, it really makes them stand out. Not many other companies post up results with many other name brands..
