hacksaw, dremel, whatever will cut urethane. Personally I use a angle grinder with a cut off wheel and a sanding disc.

there is a special cut off wheel that you should use for a stock plastic bumper... i have to look it up but i wanted to go ahead and get the reply to let you know.

EDIT: i believe my roomate used a dremel cutoff wheel 542 http://www.dremel.com/en-us/at...66376

To be honest with you, a straightedge and a sharp razor knife works pretty well for the majority of the cuts.

i used a dremel and a cutoff wheel, watch out though cuz it gets really hot and melts the urethane, which in turn flies onto yourface/hands/eyes/etc. Also, for some reason it eats the cutoff wheels quick, so be sure to have a few. It IS a lil tough though, personally I think I just got kinda lucky and it turned out well for me. If I had to do it again Id cut less off the sides (by the end tank couplers) and prolly use a razor knife instead, would take longer but would prolly be cleaner.

dont waste your time with the dremel, just blast it with an angle grinder w/ cutoff wheel or sanding wheel

mark your lines with masking tape, keep your hand steady, smooth out any bumps or uneven areas with the sanding disc/flapper wheel. You can also use a hand file to finish if there are any burrs left. I always get super straight and clean lines this way....

some pics of my cut job, i also made 2 peices to go along side the intercooler, i used good ol aircraft aluminum i get from work, kind of a must for the s13 guys so you dont have 2 big holes along side the ic. lets see some more cut jobs, i did a little TOO much cutting on mine, but this ended all cooling problems, i ran no fans for 2 weeks. as long as i didnt sit for over 5 mins and 15mph wind hitting the front no overheating in HAWAII!!

i like using the sawzall for large cuts but the blade has to be sharp and preferably new for it to be clean.then to clean up and detail i use a dremmel with a heavy duty cutting wheel, works a treat...

Carl H, you must have hands like a brain surgeon to get a stright line on a bumper with a sawsall i think i would end up destroying mine with one of those things, but they are VERY hand for cutting I/C pipes!

i will try a utility knife and dremel first. hopefully i dont need to remove that much.

Just take your time and use duct tape/masking tape to get a straight line with it.. For the curved part I just used the duct tape roll and marked it the same on both sides... Don't rush it like the guy up there did.. Yikes..
