I've been doing some research on some tires for my qx4, and I can't come to conclusion...I want something that has good traction offroad, but I also want a smooth and quiet ride on road.. so just post your thoughts and what tires u have on yours. Thanks a ton

i use Michelin radial LT2 which are great for highway and on road, plus if you get them from costco, they have rebates usually.

since im thinking of trailing my r50 soon, im going to switch to BFgoodrich all terrain ta/ko which is a great off road tire (not so much for mud) and it performs pretty okay on the road, plus they also usually have rebates

I use nexen roadian ht all season 245/70/r16 tires.
I live in NY and drive highways 99% of the times.

You probably want to make a decision here,
if you drive city/highway roads 90% of your mileage, you want those all-season highway tires.
if you drive rural and mountainous area without asphalts, you want those hardcore off-road tires.

=)

Yeah, I was checking out BF's all terrrain, there are some good and bad ratings, but I'm constantly seeing them on truck's and suv's while driving around. And they're much cheaper than the M/S2's, so I'm leaning towards those. You should let me know how those go, compared to the highway tires. Thanks for the respond.

Cooper Discoverer AT3. Beefy look, great traction in the snow and a surprisingly quiet ride on the highway. My 2 cents.

hey, thanks. I'm actually going to check those out, what I'm aiming for is best of both worlds, and if its what you say its like, then I might just get em. Thx again

Recently got some dunlop ferice attitude MT 265/70 r17 on my 99 pathfinder. They are aggressive looking tires but ride very smooth and have a surprisingly low amount of road noise. Check them out
