I don't see the Nokian WR tires on your list. I have really enjoyed driving on them, especially after the OEM tires. They are a great all-weather tire (if there really is a great all-weather tire) and a great winter tire. I live in Minnesota and I give them my hardiest endorsement.

I just installed Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires and found them to be an improvement from the stock Potenza's that I was running. They are quieter and seem to perform at least well. These tires also do well in most of the reviews on tire rack. Check out the following link for more info.

Thanks for your advice helping me to select an all-season tire.I thought, that the Nokian WR is a more winter oriented tire, shines in wet and snow conditions, but not among the best for dry weather driving. And perhaps a little noisier, than the others. I know, that with all-season tires you must accept some compromise and they do not perform in all conditions perfectly. I also heard, that Nokian WRs are good choice for SUV and off-road vehicles. Here in the Toronto area the year-round driving conditions are approximately:70% dry (255 days)20% wet (73 days)10% snow (37 days)I think, that the Nokia WR is a great all-season tire for winter driving, but not the best choice for summer, ride and noise comfort, which is 70% of my driving condition. But I could be wrong, therefore I should include this tire, together with the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in my list. Thanks for both of you (scjconsulting and paulc) for your input, to help me select the most suitable compromise.

I put a set of KHUMO on my 2004 M45 and am completely happy. Quiet good handling. Good for warmer climate. I got them for $112 each.Excellent consumer review. OEM size some availability issues. I waited 3 weeks for mine

All season tires WITHOUT the snow flake symbol are useless in snow and ice, they are however suitable in dry cold conditions [without moisture].

All season tires were orginally for FALL USE where temperature dropped below Summer Tire 50F minimums but before the snow fell.

Don't be confused by the Marketing departments dropping the F in front of ALL.

I would strongly recommend that you get two sets of tires: one good summer tire for non-snow use and one set (mounted on cheap steel wheels) that are true snow tires. My experience with "All-season" tires, in snow, on high-power RWD cars, is not a good one - I lived in New Hampshire for many years!

So, for summer tires, I would recommend:

1. Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 - expensive, but worth it.2. Michelin Pilot PS2 - also expensive, but worth it.3. Michelin Pilot Sport - older design, but worth it.4. Avon Tech M500 - inexpensive and seems like a good tire (only available at Tire Rack: http://www.tirerack.com).

There are other possibilities listed in my sticky on Basic Specifications - there is a post there listing many possible tires.

For winter (snow tires), the Bridgestone Blizzak and Michelin Alpine are excellent possibilities.

Is there a way to have two sets of wheels on an M45 without resetting the TPMS at the dealership?

I went with Nokian WR's since I didn't want to deal with changing tires 2X a year. The Nokian's aren't as sharp as OEM tires or pretty much any summer tire but at least I know that the car the car won't slide off the road in the cold rain or if there's any snow on the road.
