Well I almost have everything I need to boost my ka ... all thats left is my turbo, ecu, and oil lines. I want to run a T3/T04e but im not sure what the best size to run would be. Im looking to hit 300-330 whp. From reading a bunch of posts it looks like the best size would be a 50 Trim, .48 a/r inlet and .63 a/r on the exhaust side. I dont want a turbo that will boost to early, and I dont want a turbo that will be inefficent. What do you guys think? Whats the best T3/T04 for my situation? and once thats worked out where is a good place to buy it?

I think I can handle all 3 of your concerns. The AMS GT32 is similar in to a 50trim, only it will spool a bit quicker and make a tiny bit less top end power. We made 400hp on 18 psi on a KA you could easily make the hp that you want and have some room to grow with this turbo.

hmm sounds like this is a turbo to consider, and im not really sure but whats the difference between an internally wastegate turbo and external wastegate turbo? Is one better and less work?

Internal is about $250 cheeper but not quite as good for high boost apps.

JGS tool sells a good T3/T04E 50 trim. Ebay is good, just be carefull who you buy from and stick with name brand stuff. Only trust people with major feedback and who know turbos. I think there is 1 guy, turbos r us I think, who is good.

I take it that is not the same as the ball bearing Gerrett turbo with a similar name?

No it is not. The GT32-R series have GT wheels and ball bearing centers and are oil and water cooled.. The GT32s are like a t3/t4 with GT wheels but still use journal bearings and are oil cooled.
