I did above.

And I agree. 3-spoke sucks.
Why?
The only reason I like 4 spoke wheels is because I can cruise with just one hand at 6 o'clock. But of course that's the "improper" way to drive, so having a 3-spoke forces me to keep my hand(s) and 10/2. Usually the three spoke style is reserved for sportier cars anyways....
The bottom spoke just gets in the way.
And most modern production 3-spoke wheels have a very thick bottom spoke, so it gets in the way of more than just the 6-O'clock position. I just find that 4-spoke wheels like the ones in my sedans tend to suit my hand positions more. The lower spokes are in a natural position for resting the hand with an arm on the arm rest (either side). I normally drive with one hand at ~1030 and one on the gearshift. But on the highway or on longer drives I'll get more relaxed and drive at 8-O'clock or 4-O'clock like Ray described. Very comfortable without sacrificing leverage, especially when using the arm rest. And I also like to cruise with my left hand at 6-O'clock, which you can't do with a 3-spoke.
Really, though, it just comes down to the fact that I always notice how wrong a 3-spoke wheel feels when I drive with one. My sister's C-Class I complain endlessly about has a 3-spoke. Terrible design and I hate it. The stitching on the backs of the spokes is really poorly located, and the function buttons are rockers with soft rubber over them...so they look nice but feel mushy and vague.
