Ok, so I've got bout 3g and i was wondering what would be best for me to do with that money. I've got a full 3" hki hi-power exhaust, and i was looking at gettin my engine done. Theres a place in town where i live that said they could do the whole thing for bout 2g and i was looking at getting a cheap turbo kit and just buying a bigger turbo later. Does anybody have any advice on whether or not i should do this, how much i should bore my engine, etc

When I was researching the same question, almost everyone pointed me to start by setting my final goal first, and then work my way back to see what parts I would need and the cost of going the route that I chose. (credits to WD, 480 and Abc)

First determine what your HP goal is.

If your goal is 300hp or less, then you will be fine with stock internals and you can concentrate in buying a good quality tune (ECU rom tune + 550cc injectors), and a good quality turbo kit and all the peripherals (examples: JGS kit, garret turbo...), at least a Stage 2 clutch. Probably the 3g's will cover all that if you look for sales and specials.

If your goal is more than 350HP, then you're looking at forged internals and I think that will run you more than $3g's by the time you are done. Several members here have done the internals and have threads on their builds. I'm not sure of the cost of going that route, but I'd like to explore that option too. It would be sweet to have a 400hp 240...

ok, I was looking at goin for more than 300hp. I'm wanting to go ahead and get a starting list and go from there. I was hoping that someone that has already done this and has more than 300hp could help me out. I'm also wantin to do some things that will put me on track for this and at the same time get some power. I don't want a saddle without a horse so to say.

how much power do you wanna make? the jgs kit, with a t3/t4 turbo with a .63 exh. housing is good for around 450whp at about 25psi. thats what i just got done doing, it cost way more then 3gs tho

This one might also work for you:zer...ilder

Do you plan to do it yourself or buy the parts and take it to a shop?

Are you going to upgrade your suspension, brakes, and wheels/tire combo?

Well i would say "Duh, thats common sense" but that would make me sound like an ******* and on top of that, apparently its not common sense anymore, cause every day we see people doin that crap and wondering why they can't handle for crap cant stop all that new power .

But I'm currently getting this rear camber kithttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...witem=and I've been looking at d2 coilovers and not set on anything for brakes and rims&tires

And Please don't think i don't appreciate you askin me that/giving me advice, its much appreciated, i'm just very sarcastic

Ok, so I got my engine work figured out, its gonna cost me bout 2300 and its built for 500hp, I'm wanting to know what size/type of turbo i should buy so i can come close to acheiving my goal. I've seen some kits that come with intercooler, downpipe, and basic piping.

Heres one that i was looking at, i was wondering if it would be worth getting:

That kit sucks and is overpriced. You can find the same kit on ebay for about 1000 bucks.

The JGS Precision kit is the best bang for the buck you will ever get.
