Hey guys,

I currently have a 95 240SX with the Ka24 in it. Iam shortly going to order the Greddy kit without the E-Manage piggy back.

I was wondering what would you guys suggest as a piggy bank or stand alone for my NA 240sx for now and for my turbo KA when I am done....

Thanks guys

Back, not "bank."

Wow, I feel bad but that is freakin' hilarious!

Oh, and the "best" is rather objective but I'm sure others will chime in with their opinions so good luck choosing. :)

It's "piggy back"... not piggy bank. Also the E-manage, the JW ECU, and other piggy back's are good but it all depends on your application and how much HP you are going for. All piggy back's pretty much have their own limit but are pretty good for turbo KA24DE's.

If you really want control over everything (making sure it will not have a chance of exploding) and you are going for high HP and are looking for 10 sec. 1/4's with your engine then I would go with a stand alone whether it be Haltech or TEC II, to III's.

You will have to pay for either one to be tuned though after you get the turbo on. Have you done a leak down on your car to make sure the engine can handle a minor bolt on of 4-7 psi? Or are you just looking for trouble...

^ Yup... piggy back's, no matter what, still have their limits from injector size to how much it can comesate the timing. Full stand alone's do not have this problem for the most part. However both have to be tuned by someone that knows what the hell they are doing. Otherwise bye bye engine....

For a full standalone system I'd go with a Haltech. I have worked with them a bit on RX-7s before and really like the setup.

Tuning definitely is everything though. Very easy to screw up a motor if you don't know what you're doing.

Well, what are your goals? If you plan to keep the GReddy kit pretty much as you bought it, I'd say jsut get the eManage. It is a good setup. As far as a full on stand alone, Haltec is a good bet as many shops out there have had experience with it. Really, ask the shop that will be doing your tuning what they prefer/reccomend, and go from there.
