hi guys, ive been a member for a while, but not an active one. and my question is, I am soing to be getting a sr swap in soon, within the next month or so. but i so not know which one 2 buy. like black or redtop aand s13 or s14. i have read up on this and this is what i plan on doing to the motor. Flywheel, CAI, chip, Intake manifold, Exhasut manifod, catback, pus posibly some other things like ignition as it comes along. I DO NOT WANT TO UPRAGDE TURBO or change piston rings or anything like that. what i read was that if i dont want to uprade turbo then i should get a s14. i just wanted to get your second opinion. Also the uprades i mentioned, how much power will that get me. BC i am looking to get my car to around 350 rwhp. Sorry if its a Noob question.

you ain't hittin 350 at the wheels without a turbo upgrade. flat out.

intake manifold will yield dismal returns for a fairly stock motor and will reduce your lower end torque. Unless you've a desire to have the stuff behind/under the manifold with easier accessibility, don't waste your cash when you're only trying to hit 350.

Your goal of 350 will need an upgraded turbo, fuel system, and ecu flash. seeing that you've already got an ecu upgrade in there, you'll also need a z32 mafs unless you plan on getting a maps system.

Your ignition will hold up to 400 without too much drama. You'll find out soon enough if your coilpacks or ignitor or cas are bad.

DO: look for a good condition SR. Since you'll need a turbo upgrade regardless, don't limit yourself to one specific model. look around to get the best condition engine for your cash to avoid doing other things like rings and bearings.
