Good to see that Nissan is finally getting recognition for their great vehicles. Nissan has always flew under the radar when compared to Honda and Toyota, but now it seems like they finally get the respect they deserve. This is my 4th Nissan, and it is my favorite Well, maybe a close second to my old SE-R

This is a canadian article, and the corvette is from $69,500 MSRP* in Canada

Ahhh, I see the .ca now, ok...fair enough...Loony to Dollar conversion still doesn't make sense considering 1 USD is worth 0.9636 CAD...why are cars that much more expensive in Canada?

yeah our CND is 1.06 to the USD yet canadians are still paying on average 25-35% more for the same car in the states. But some of the car companies are actualy doing "Fair US pricing deals" promotions now, so hopefully it will get better.

not to mention that most American made cars are pieces of crap...Yeah, cars like the corvette and the cobra are fast cars, but, well, they're American. I wouldn't spit on a corvette for 1 dollar... just my 2 cents

The Altima Coupe is American made as are some other Nissans. It might be in an Nissan factory, but it is still American made.

American made in America, mexican made in Mexico, Canadian made in Canada, but in Nissan factories with Nissan parts... the parts inside of Nissans, Toyota, Hondas are BETTER QUALITY than that of American cars, chevy, ford, etc.

I woudn't go as far as to say the parts are better. But, quality control has definitely been an issue with American made cars. Prime example is our Altima's. There's so many problems plaguing our vehicles, it's sad You wouldn't see a car come off of a Japanese assembly line with so many bugs

agreed, they upped it to a 6.2 this year and the cost went up about 3k but still by and far the best bang for the buck err looney if you will...the base model is damn near super car performance...but hey, to each his own, I hate Chevy's but Love the 'Vette 436 hp @ 6000 RPM, 428 lb-ft @ 4400 RPM

heck the auto does 0-60 in 4.3

gotta make me ask, what is a super car anymore

What's cool about the 2009 GT-R is that they are pushing that it is an "any season" car and fuel efficient...drive me in the winter drive me anywhere...but 70K is pushing it...

Might be a nice grab for 40 K in a few years....yeah can some of us afford it, sure, can some of us live below our means for a few years and afford it, ok...but come on, pick up a 1 year old C6 for 38K, damn...thant's a sweet ride (but not all-weather worthy)...whoa I just went way off base didn't I? My bad!

you forgot to mention that the new corvettes are rated at 18city/28 highway, which is economy gas mileage . I can vouche for it my friend just got a new vette and the thing does around 26 MPg on the highway which is nuts. 26 mpg and 400+ horsepower, can't beat that.

you guys are talking about the corvette being the best bang for your buck... what about the 500 horsepower Shelby Cobra GT500 that's cheaper? or the new 600 horsepower super snake shelby cobra GT500 (it was on the cover of i think road & track). i've never been a fan of chevy but corvettes are pretty good, my brother has a C5 and his buddy asked me if i wanted to buy his C5 2 weeks after i bought my A/C. C5 still has the ****ty GM interior, C6 interior is better. it seems like GM finally got someone who knows that it's not cool to have a handle bar in the dash board and have the interior hella square... their interiors really improved.

ya the Evo X is nice. i wasn't a big fan of Evos, i preferred the STi but the STi's are hatchbacks that look like a hyundai, and not even a nice one! not like the wanna be A/C/G37 hyundai but some like bottom level one.... the new STi looks like garbage. the Evo X reminds me of the Lexus IS250 or IS350, i think they did a really good job on it....... still can't touch the shelby cobra though lol
