Hi everyone -

I have an 06 sedan with the luxury package and I want to upgrade to the sport package wheels like these:

These guys sell them for $289 and I'm not sure if they are reputable or well priced: http://www.finishlinewheels.co...2U78/

It *might* be less expensive to find a used set and take them to a body shop to take car of any "curb incidents" but I'm having a hard time finding any...

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Thanks - all I seem to find are the coupe 18" and 19" which won't work due to the offset and +1/+2 size.

I was't sure if there was a place online or any members that had a set...

That's not a bad price at all for those wheels. Especially if they are NEW.They don't come up very often on Ebay - that is the 18 inch ones.I've only been watching them on ebay for about a year though.Don't know nothing about the company. If the company checks out, I'd do it!!BUT, we just put a down payment on a puppy....

lol man, my local dealer gave me some outrageous price for those OEM wheels. It was something around $913 a wheel for the wheel itself. Then after that I would have to buy tires. I was pretty much like

Yup - I was quoted at $3600 from my local stealer. WTF didn't cover my response

Looks like I'm gonna have to order a new set to find out if these guys are legit. Still $289 + $16 shipping doesn't seem too bad for a new wheel. I just wish these guys did ties too...

One thing to remember is that the dealer doesn't use replica wheels...they are strait from the factory (ie Rays).

and......

EVERY dealer is overpriced on OEM parts!

Always test used oem wheels or any wheels for compliance with specs. Common for bent and out of round reject wheels to show up on ebay.

Wheels can be easily tested on a tire balance machine..........the wheels alone should need less than 5 grams per side to balance!

Make wheels perfect before even thinking about tires!

Yea I saw those on ebay before I joined this forum...I'm the guy that asked the seller, "Did these come off of a coupe or sedan? And what year model was the car."

I read about wheel and auto scams happening on ebay, now I'm skeptical about bidding on these wheels. I'd be nice if the seller lived close by so I could inspect before I bid. I just have a bad feeling. Otherwise, I'd gladly pay the $800 before anyone else snatched them up.

My daughter hit something in the road in her 2005 G35 Sport sedan and bent both wheels on the driver's side. After getting the dealer's pricing I almost s**t.

I think I'll look into a custom set before paying the dealer's price.

Yeah - I hear ya... I just asked about any other damage - should be posted soon.

Looks like these guys are the best bet - http://www.finishlinewheels.co...82U78/

$289 + $16 shipping per wheel - seems like a decent deal to me. I think I'm gonna take the plunge this weekend. I'll update you all with any feedback based on my experience.

Did you end up buying these? If so are they true OEM's?

I just bought a set from Finish Line after an eBay auction gone bad and a fraud attempt from the UK. Yeesh...

I'll report back on how OEM they are.

Please let me know if you sell your old OEM ones... My wifed curbed two of ours with very minor rash damage. I was able to touch them up with a rotary tool and some silver paint, and they look pretty good - but it might be good to have spares with a "drive by feel" babe in the house.

Well...I placed my order yesterday from http://www.finishlinewheels.co...82U78/ and they cancelled my order because they weren't in stock. I asked about an ETA and to order them but they said "No ETA at this time" and ended the email. So, scratch them off as a potential source for OEM rims. They were responsive but if they don't have them in stock I wish they wouldn't list them as available...

I was bidding on a set of the wheels on eBay and we didn't meet the reserve. The buy it now price was a couple hundred less than the new ones mentioned above. I got a weird email from the UK offering a seet of 07 sport wheels but he was very scammy...

So, who's got a set of 18x7.5 double 5 spoke wheels?

Heath - you'll be the first person I call! My wheels are in great shape!
