i went to the muffler shop today to take off my cut-out and saw a silver 2.5s.... turns out some woman was getting exhaust done to it and her husband was getting exhaust on his new corvette. OMG! this was the BEST 2.5 ALTIMA I EVER HEARD!!!! it sounded BETTER then MOST 3.5se!!! like seriously, if you heard it in person you would say "damn! i want that exact set-up on my car". i asked the muffler shop owner what he put on it and he was sort of vague about it but said it was $350 to $375 and it was a cat-back. so he probably charges $375 but would go down to $350. Aaron (chiapetchua), you better get exhaust like this on your car, it sounds bad a**!

heres a vid of it. camera phone so not that great quality but its something... it sounds MUCH better in person.

that i do not know. at idle it was a tiny bit quieter then my 3.5se with exhaust so its probably not too bad.

thing is, my cut-out got stock open on me and would not close. i had to unbolt it from the car and take it apart and reset it and put it all back together. after that it worked perfect but i just dont want to deal with the trouble of it possibly getting stuck open again.... it works fine right now, but i dont know how long it will work fine.... 1 muffler shop said they stopped carrying them because they dont work well with the heat and summers here can get to 110 degrees and ppl have issues. other muffler shop said ppl are having issues with them and the companies customer service sucks but didnt say if it was the heat or not messing it up.... i paid $150 or $160 PLUS i had a Y-pipe made for it for $60 so like $210 or $220 spent on it and i want to try and sell it for about $100 if i can.

i just found out that they have replacement parts for a decent price. so if anything does ever go wrong with it, you can just buy the individual piece... not that anything is wrong with the one i have.... i just posted it on craigslist for $100

idk. with the cut-out you can go from dead silent to crazy loud by just pressing a button so it has the "cool" factor. with me, i like the sound of my exhaust and also the sound of the cut-out... but my exhaust does drone and get sort of annoying on the hwy sometimes.... so over all the cut-out was better but as soon as it hit 110 degrees, mine messed up and a couple days later my friend's messed up.

honestly, i'm not sure. sort of awkward to go in there and ask him the exact set-up he did on another car and just walk out... if big_rig is serious about getting the exhaust, we can ask the guy the exact set-up while hes putting it on big_rigs car and then let you know and you can go to a local muffler shop and have them build you the same set-up.

and heres the web site where i bought it.

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QTP-QTEC30/

it says $160 (idk how much shipping is) and then i also paid $60 to have a Y-pipe made for it so i can put it on the car and use it. i'm at school right now but if you'd like some pics of my actual cut-out off of my car, email me and ill email you some pics when i get home.

i talked to my friend who ships a lot of stuff and he said if it fits in a flat rate box (which it probably will) then it'll be like $12 to ship to NJ..... i got to check if it would fit in one of those boxes first though... ill pass by the post office tomorrow and check if it fits and if it really is $12... if so, ill ship it... $100 plus shipping so about $112.
