I was thinking today and I realized that the 1991-94 sentra SE-R is the best sleeper out there. It is amazing that everybody that I meet thinks that those cars are slow. I remember a couple of years ago I went to a stereo shop to get a new head unit installed and everyone there had Civic SI's (99-00) and were all talking smack. I just sort of ignored them until this one kid came up to me and asked what all I had done to my car, and i proceeded to tell him. He was like oh thats cool, what kind of numbers can this car produce. I told him 13.9's with the Nitrous. He didnt believe me.

After much persuasion I took him for a ride. I didnt even have the nitrous bottle hooked up in my car. Needless to say within two weeks he stopped by my shop with a 1991 nissan sentra SE-R. Ever since then he has been hooking it up and having better results than he ever had with his honda.

I love these cars. My other car is a 2001 BMW 330ci with some mods, and I miss driving my sentra while the motor is out. That should say something.

Any one else have any cool loyalty conversion stories?

I tend to agree with you on that one, man... I don't even OWN a Sentra and I hate how people (inaginary people... I know what they'd say if they were talking about one) talk crap on B13s... I'd much rather own a B13 than a Civic... Like most early-90's Nissans, they just feel so connected to the road. Another good thing about the B13s is that very, very few people own them much less "pimp" them out... lol. So, you're original and, seemingly automatically, more focused on the DRIVING aspect of the car rather than the looks like the riced-out Civics we've all seen.

Yeah they are definitely sleepers.

Funny story:

Me and Chad were comeing back from a club Friday night in his swapped B13 which is really looking like a beater at the moment with the roof all messed up hehe and this Civic sedan was next to us with his altezzas blazin' but more or less he appeared to be a normal looking bolted Civic. Anyhow we are driving down Outer Loop (for those familiar with Louisville) and we get caught at a light. We take off a little hard just to be stupid but only speed up to the speed limit and the kid in the Civic punches it heh. We let him pull till about half a car length and Chad punches it. It wasn't a friendly sight for the Civic. I just thought it was funny hehe.

I would like to be in the car when there is actually a car that would be a good race lines up with him cause I know there are more than a few that would be good around town.

Sentras in general are a hell of a lot more than people give them credit for.

From back in the day, an SR20DE-powered SE-R would smack a Civic Si in the face any day of the week.

Now, I just read this, a new Si has 160hp and 132lb/ft stock. My car makes roughly 155/145 (just intake, so I'm doing a little ricer math, but whatever, it's close). Si weighs roughly 2800 lbs. Mine weighs 2674. Not to mention that max torque in the Si doesn't come until some God-awful rpm. My kick in the pants starts at 2750k-ish and pulls hard to 6. Si does 0-60 in 8. Mine could probably pull a 7.8-7.9. Moral of the story, SR20 powered Sentras still rule.

Yea I love the B13s and 14s. Nobody thinks anything good about them, until they get their *** handed to them. I kinda want to buy one, but Im gonna get another Maxima. I think the Max's a great sleepers as well.

Yea if you compare all the stock stats of a 1991 sentra SE-R against the specs of a 1995 Integra Type R. The are pretty much equal on all things but braking. HHMMMM the almighty Type R doesnt seem sooo special, or ares are that much more special.

You guys wanna see a sleeper???

Engine bay:http://sr20.us/gallery/albums/...5.JPG

Car that it's in:http://www.qualityperformancep...1.jpg

And I don't have a dyno copy, but on the dyno he put down #'s in the 300's, and it sounded nearly stock when it ran. With the hood closed, you wouldn't think it had more than 150 HP.

Dane, he can post links to other forums if they are at a direct thread. We just don't want posts advertising to go to "this other board, cuz they have more info" kinda thing.

Hey i have a huge oldschool kick as well. i am looking for a good Datsun 510 or a 1972 datsun 240z to put my rb26dett into. I want to run twin gt28rs turbo's which should be good for about 700 or 800 hp. With almost instant throttle and boost response.

I love B13s as well, my buddy (nacho_nissan) has one and its a blast to drive, he is going to get a B13 se-r most likely.

off topic: I found a white Datsun 510 wagon for 2100, bad as.s I think, I might try and go for it if I can get more money.

Meh...best import powered sleeper I've ever seen was 4G63T powered old-*** hyundai hole....only clue was a hole cut in the hood for the I/C but unless you know what your talking about it just looked like a ****ty hole knocked in the hood...there was vid of it on zilvia beating an SRT-10 Ram.

B14 SE-Rs are definitely NOT sleepers,my freind has an SE-R power (SE auto with GA16DE,SE-R wheels, lowered on H/R springs, magnaflow exhaust, sounds AMAZING,hes a member of the forums...) and EVERYBODY trys to run him....

I don't know about the B13 though.

i must say, the old 4g63t powered eagle van thing running around louisville is a BEAST!!!!! its a pretty bad *** sleeper, anything with sliding doors on the side that will whore many things on the road is crazy stuff. but ive always had a soft spot for sentras. right now the project for me is a old rusted b12. havent dicied what i want to set it up for yet tho. im thinking autocross with some power to, like a ca18
