This is going to turn into another jacked thread about NA Vs. Forced induction, but here it goes again.
Turbo or NOS will be the biggest bang for the buck or with a few dollars wisely invested and some more searching you can set up a NA motor with cams, cam gears, intake and exhaust manifolds, CAI, throttle body or ITBs, injectors, fuel and the list can go on forever. Some people will say for example step up to a Z32 maf and others will tell you that you don't need it 250 hp and so on. Just remember you only need to upgrade parts that will be maxed or close to being maxed.
I went with full port and polish, equal length exhaust manifold, custom intake 450cc DSM injectors, 255 fuel pump, MSD 6, 150 ohm wires, ARP studs, cometic HG, and machined, balanced and lightened the stock rotating assy, with a moderate tune from a friend and ended up putting around 184HP safely to the wheels.
The total cost me about $2200 and I did everything but the balancing of the bottom end. So it can be done, but $2000 can set you up for 250HP at 15PSI. So it is your call, both NA and Turbo can be safe and effective.
I am currently building my new motor and I will try to remember to post Dyno pics maybe end of June.
