Has anyone upgraded their brakes? I'm in for new rotors and pads and might as well go big.

Slotted or drilled?

Are there better calipers with more pistons?

Who makes the best pads?

Thanks!

Billy

theres a few choices... slotted or cross drilled from 4x4parts.com sound pretty good personally i went with Brembo rotors and Hawk HPS pads, looks stock but brakes so hard that your eyeballs want to pop out of their sockets. Highly recommend.

another piece of advice is dont go cheap with your brake rotors - will end up costing more in the long run. Trust me!

I agree with Fueler, you dont want to go el cheapo on your rotors...it will cost more in the long run.

I am running raybestos rotors and raybestos (sp) ceramic pads and they are pretty decent imo

Well there seems to be a ton of choices out there. Here's what I'm thinking about. DBA slotted rotors with some EBC pads. Check out this vid on the DBA's. Their design makes a lot of sense I'm waiting for pricing right now. I've heard great things about brembo but their website is s*** and they don't make any slotted rotors for our rides. I've also heard from a buddy that races mustangs that cross drilled rotors are considered weak because of the loss of material from the drilling.

What do you think?

Right now I'm running generic pads and rotors from Napa Auto Parts and I'm really unhappy with them. They were my first mechanical install on my car and everything from here on out has to be an improvement. My ride has 195,000 miles on it and I'm over anything of the ordinary.

Thanks bro, I gotta say right now NPORA is as dead as Jack Black's humor(I still don't know how that guy gets work).
