I think Pioneer would be best. Nice punchy bass and pretty clean highs.

Depends on your setup and budget in my opinion. Are they gonna be running off your headunit?

I've heard nothing but good things about CDT's.

I'm pretty sure other members will be able to have better input on what to get.

You might want to check out some other car audio forums since this one is kinda limited in the amount of views it receives. I go to icix or sounddomain for info on car audio stuff.

Pioneer? While Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, etc make many lines (price levels)of speakers, there is much better stuff on the market. JL Audio, MB Quart, etc, etc. JL Audio has great midbass in the VR and XR line compared to some others. Go to a real car audio shop and bring a real CD (not compressed MP3 crap) that is a clean recording. It should be full range, have vocals, and not be a bunch of distortion. Listen to a few different brands and models. Remember, louder is not necessarily better when choosing speakers. Listen to the vocal. Does it sound open and like someone singing or muffled? Do the instruments sound real? Is the mid bass/bass tight or muddy? Buy what you like.

Yeah, not to beat you up or anything, but a "price range" and whether you plan on using HU (head unit) power, and existing amp (what is it) or if you plan on buying an amp (with the budget) would be most helpful in a reco.

Jesda's right, if you want a pair of speakers for ~$79 and are going to run them off the HU. But if you have a strong 4 chanbbel amp and the space/$$ to run seperates, then the CDT's are a great option.Of course, if funds are unlimited, there's some Focal seperates for >$1,000 a set.

Give us a little more info, we'll be better able to help/respond .

No need to spend that kinda cash, if you're only gonna run them off the HU. Spending that kind of cash, is like putting high performance tires on a Kia.

Just get some pioneer 6x9 3 way like $70 a pair. Here's a site that I like http://www.etronics.com/listpr..._type=Whenever you search for items, change it to highest price first then look through them. That cheapo stuff isn't good, it's your typical walmart stuff. But will still give you decent quality better than stock anywayz. If you are going to buy an amp recommend you get a good quality so you get true wattage, besides you can resell to someone and not lose money.

O and I have been ragged on for the same thing. Turn the caps off.

As for that ^^^^^^^^^ I would go with four ways though. Your choice. As for the amp pioneer makes some decent amps try and find you one. about 240watts........The reason for 240watts if you have two 6x9s hooked up to a 100watt amp and you got the gain all the way up its not good for the speakers. Having more than you need is great needing more than you have can not be so great.....GoodLuck

Chris

O and if someone hasnt already Welcome to Nico. Im sure someone has though..

unless you are going to do the rev series pioneer's i find them to be a bit bass heavy, and when they are not components that is a bad thing.. personally ive a/b ed the rev 6 1/2 component set against a set of focal access component's and thaught the pioneer rev's is the best set of speakers pioneer has made in a very long time... now they were'nt nearly as clean as the focal's but for pioneer that is a nice speaker set.. btw focal access 6 1/2 set is 350.00 retail.. i have a set of pioneer rev's for 200 plus shipping

i would recomend some Polk Audio speakers. In my opinion they're the best car audio speakers you can buy. But not if you don't want to spend around $80-200 per pair.

I recommend the Infinity Reference and Kappa Perfect speaker lines. Alot of people find the highs a little bright, but I personally like it that way so that they match a little better with the low end.

how hard would it be to put some speakers in 6.5 up front and stock4x6 in back. I know you have to do the mounting plate custom for the front but i mean wiring wise.

im suprised nobody has recommended infinity yet.

there are only 2 wires for any size speaker. positive and negative. its pretty simple.

in order to make a 6.5 fit you will need to cut the metal/plastic (havent been under the door panel yet) and you will need a drill to tap some new holes. you may want to put something between the metal and the speaker to minimize vibration. good luck.
