best race game for Xbox

so what is the best race game out for xbox? i wanna go rent one to go play it at my friends house.. so if im gonna wast 5$ on a rental i want it to be a good game

i dont have an xbox i have a PS2 and i love GT3. my buddy has an xbox tho, its alright... i like ps2 better. GT3 and Metal Gear Solid are the only games i need.

PS2 is way better but need for speed hot pursuit 2 is not a bad game.

You forgot GTA3 man... That HAS to be one of the best games ever made... I can't wait for vice city to come out.

yeah i know PS2 is way better thats what i would buy if i ever had money.. but the Xbox is my friends.. i tryed to tell him to get PS2 but nooo... oh well ill check out that sega GT

oh yeah and GTA3 rox but its the best for PC cuz u can change the names of the cars to the correct name and u can edit levels..

sorry to burst your bubble... but that game sucks (tokyo extreme)after playing GT3 for the longest time.....then hopping onto that game.... ....bah.the dynamics of it suck.... you can add stickers to your car like "HKS" and "The Fast and the Furious"....i mean.....come on!...its a rice game

dunno....maybe its not so bad after playing it for a while..but I couldn't stand playing it for more than 2 laps around the highway

as for Vice City... Hell ya!.. got it preordered at EB... counting the days. it is going to be bigger, better, and just..um.....cooler! than GTA3..can't wait.

as for Xbox sucking.... it really doesn't..... most people that say it sucks haven't really played it, but then again... just as I am.... everyone is entitled to their own opinion... Halo does rock hardcore.. played Xbox Live at a friends house tonight... MotoGP against other people ruled (hes a beta tester).

why say one system is better than another..just get both

its like Ford vs Chevy... or Honda vs Nissan... no one is right.all a matter of opinion.

C'mon Sega GT 2002 has to be the best race game for Xbox. I don't want to get into the whole ps2 and xbox thing, just cause it's stupid and pointless to even bring it up. GT3 is seriouslly a good game but lacks alot of things that sega gt 2002 has like crash damage and 70's and 80's muscle cars. I certainly think that sega gt 2002 is a game that can't be past by, by any avid racer SIMULATION (envisous on simulation) fan. The game is really challenging, and really brings home the racing experience. The sounds in the game can not be dupicated by any other game, and it really rocks if you have Dolby 5.1. The crash damage is what I like. You can't do the Gran Turismo Bad *** Blitz to the finish line. You accually have to brake and not hit the cars in front of you or hit the walls. If you do then you loose alot of money at the end of the race. All I can say is that Sega GT 2002 is your best bet. And it's certainly alot better than it's predisesor for Dreamcast. A big Improvement and makes the team that made Gran Turismo to go back to the drawing board and look at what they missed in making GT3.

Skyline VspecII is one hell of a car.
