Fellow Forum Members,
I own a 2001 Pathfinder with 148,000 miles on it. Around two years ago I took my Pathfinder to my local Nissan auto dealer and spent around $2300 on replacing the rear main seal. It's now two years later and the darn thing is leaking oil again. From this experience and various other experiences I have come to the conclusion genuine Nissan parts are garbage and that it's best to find alternative parts of superior quality with a longer warranty than the measly one year warranty Nissan offers on their parts..
Nevertheless, I plan to replace my rear main seal again for a second time and I would be very grateful if someone can answer my question. What is the best rear main seal made by a third party manufacturer that is superior in quality to a genuine Nissan rear main seal? I don't care how much it costs but for this second time I want to make sure the rear main seal I install to my 2001 Pathfinder is not going to prematurely fail like the first one did. Any opinion will be greatly appreciated.
