Ok I'm going to purchase the following, need to know the best out there. I live by the phrase "If your going to replace it, replace with the best" :

1) transmission fluid?

2) Rear differential fluid?

3) Front brake pads (mine are starting to make some noise)?

4) Brake rotors (in case mine don't have enough meat left)?

Thanks!!!

1. Mobil one... id rather see you get cheaper fluid and change it sooner, personally...

2. Theres a lot of good brands... Valvoline GL-5 is easy to get and I like it, as is mobil one.. however i have problems finding the M1.. The synthetic stuff is only a litlte more expensive than the regular stuff, so go synthetic!!! Otherwise, if you want to go real big, get some redline.....

3. OEM in braking is hard to beat.. Theyll last a long time and theyll be good performers and be nice and quiet...

Try a few searches in Inf Gen for Oil, pads, etc. You may also find some info in Inf Online Mech, or check out http://www.fuzzycats.com

Ok Mobil one it is for transmission fluid!

As far as the rear differential - Redline is the way to go! I wasn't sure if they had the right type for the J30, but I used this stuff in my transmission/T-Case/Diff in my 450HP Talon - I love this stuff, nothing beats it.

OEM will suffice for braking

Thanks elwesso!

Thanks for the reply Rex, heading over there now to do some research!

this is the stuff I've put into my J for a decade and she still rund like new.

(1.) The regular OEM stuff, but I've had it changed yearly through a transmission vaccum pump machine that changes all the fluid in the transmission. My transmission shift super smoothly still.

(2.) OEM stuff

(3.) OEM for about 7 years and then I switched to a Canadian brake pad called Jet-stop. They've been excellent. You live in Maine, if your close to the Canadian border, stop into a Canadian Tire Store and pick up a set. They are excellent pads better than OEM.

(3.) Nissan OEM rotors.
