I am seeking a rear strut tower brace for my 1995 nissan 240sx (s14).i know essentially only 2 companies make a rear stb for the s14:1) Cusco2) Nismo does anyone know the whom has most competitive prices for the above? note: JIC Magic is too expensive, and OBX does NOT make a rear stb for thes14.

I got mine from ken at enjukuracing.com Hes local so I just pick mystuff up from him too, well before he had an official shop hehe.

The nismo one is also different in the fact it goes over the decklid vs under like the cusco. I have the cusco btw. Was like 150 - 160 through him.

I'm wondering the same thing as bluedrift... Does anyone besides cusco or nismo make a rear STB for an S14? $160 seems outrageous considering my front STB cost me $40 and is incredibly sturdy and well-built...

Okay, I was just on Enjuku, and Cusco makes 2 different rear STB for the S14...my question, what's the difference, and is the $30 extra for the more expensive one worth it? Here' wha they have:

Well the AS should be (same design as my Tanabe front) a 1" round bar with threaded ends. The threads are good for preloading as you can maximize the length of the bar, taking up the space between the strut towers as the move apart when the car is jacked up.

The OS, what I have, is a beefy 1.25" or more by 1/2" flat type bar. It is a more rigid bar, but doenst have the adjustable ends like the AS. But the way it sits, when the car is jacked up for preloading the braces can pivit out, basically doing the same thing with out turning bolts and such.

But on our cars the rear strut towers dont really flex out when jacked up due to things like the gastank and the rear deck lid.

Basically the 30$ is because it isnt the run of the mill, norm bar like the AS is. How many Companies sell the same exact bar like the AS? Alot, right? Now the OSis a different design, stiffer, takes more metal to produce (more metal costs more money) and just looks sick when the seat is down with a nice beefy flat bar going across hehe
