The sky is the limit when it comes to aftermarket and performance upgrades. Wondering what is the best 'bang for your buck' is?

depends on how much money you are talking. Nitrous is probably the cheapest. $400 bucks and you can have 50-500hp for a short time. In all honesty exhaust then intake depending on setup. If you already have a turbo shims are cheap and can get lots of power if you adjust the wastegate. hope this helps

don't forget the Tornado infront of the throttle body. That is the best $60 I never spent.

well you can start with a turbo system for your car, along with all supporting mods.

after that i would look into good engine managment to make use of the new turbo system.

i would also start looking into suspension and driveterrian parts, as making power is one thing puting it down is another.

by this time you mayof already blew your motor. time for a rebuild and then more boost and a re tune..

repeat..

this thread sucks..

Especially a carb'd motor is the best bang for your buck but Turbo is possibly the best non-swap option, depending on its stock compression.

No replacement for displacement, unless you have boost.

Ha. Apparently everyone else knew what he was talking about besides you - congrats newb! You made yourself look like a jackass!

But to the O.P., if there it time on your hands, than the CHEAPEST route I would believe is old chevorlet/ford V8 engine. Thats just me - but it is practically nothing with our cars with a small block engine. No wiring harnesses, easy to tune on - unless you don't know what a carb does.

And would be something you'd admire for a while. But that is just if you have the time to fabricate certain things without getting off track.

Wow you fail, why on earth would you make this thread instead of just searching? Obviously if you don't know what mods to get or can't search it, you won't be able to do the work to your car, new hobby time.

Lol i can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. I think he's talking about shimming the wastegate so it takes more boost for it to open. Only works with internal wastegates. Just put some washers in between the wastegate bracket and the turbo housing. Bam, you have an extra pound of boost with no controller.

that is it. Had a friend that did that to early 80's 280 turbo. It ran damn good. I don't know what the stock boost was on it but his was set to 14 psi.
