All,

Seems "better never to need it than need it and not have it!" may be a prudent motto! So in my in my years on the road, have seen too many occurances of some poor soul standing by his car, helplessly watching it burn to the ground. Drivers frequently relate if only they had some means to kill the fire/hotspot, the car might have been saved from oblivion! On rare occasions a good samaritan stopped in time and saved the day with a fire extinguisher before the vehicle was totaled or otherwise beyond help!

So, I'm appealing to the experts for advice on BEST place to mount a fire extinguisher that's readily accessible in an emergency in a 2016 Rogue S. Any other related suggestions are appreciated!

Honestly, Never really thought about saving a car. Even my car.

Because of the news, I always read or saw (Online news ) about some person burning to death in a car or side of highway, through murder or mayhem, car accident, and or drunk driving.

So that's was my initial reason. Saving a poor soul. :poke:

Anyways, I'm no expert. So in a related sense, I keep one on my roof rack.

Easy grab & go.

Real basic stuff, flashlight, 2 foot shovel, two first aide kits in wheel well and rear bottom storage compartment.

Oh yeah, I guess I should stick back my electronic air compressor and tire gauge back there. Use them and left in garage.

Casperfun,

Thanks for your reply! Excellent answer! Of course human and any animal would be a primary concern, then, maybe, the vehicle. I was operating with the scenario of primary and foremost concerns were already taken care of, but the vehicle was smoldering! With your post, I now wonder how many folks have NO fire extinguisher aboard and may have already suffered a tragedy, losing family members and/or friends.

So, I hope members out there will read our posts and take to heart a way to address an horrific situation that could happen to ANY ONE OF US AT ANY time! A FIRE EXTINGUISHER is a way to avert a tragedy while out in your vehicle!

Install a FIRE EXTINGUISHER in your car, it could save a life!

Any other suggestions as to exactly where one might locate a FIRE EXTINGUISHER in the vehicle interior?

Cheers,

GB

Under seat out of question.

A small aerosol can fire extinguisher in the glove compartment but may be not enough fire power.

You can get a velcro system to attach to plastic molding in the back, they have some for a little over a dollar on ebay. Or buy the stuff and makeshift it.

If you have triple AAA, u can remove spare tire and stick a unit in there.

Or you can leave it in the back seat floor area if your alone time. Or secure it to a seat belt. :wavey:
