Since I'm building this engine to go in a 4x4 that is going to see some steep angles, I'm trying to do everything I can (short of a dry sump) to keep from starving the oil pick-up and frying my new engine. This thing is very similar to the Amsoil "pre-oiler" setup but about 1/4 the price, AND it will provide your engine with oil for a small amount of time in the event the pick-up is starved.

The install looks extremely easy, but it needs to be tapped into the oil system on the pressure side. I had three ideas.

1) Get a BSPT T-fitting (http://www.gotbends.com/product_info.ph ... cts_id/289) and install the fitting and my oil pressure gauge directly into the tapped port for oil pressure. Flow could start to be an issue here, but I'm not sure what size fittings the oil accumulator kit includes.

2) Get an oil filter relocation kit, and tap into the pressure line on it's way back in to the block from the filter.

3) Drill and tap the oil filter housing.

Due to the flow requirements, I would say options 2 or 3 are your best bet.
