After getting my '71 240z back in shape, it's time to sell my Jade Green Metallic 2002 Q45 with 89K miles.

It is 100% mechanically but has a couple of minor cosmetic flaws. Been garaged until this last August. Lived in Florida all its life.

OK, it's not old enough to be a classic, though it's well on its way. So where is the best place to list it for sale?

To start with list it up here on NICO, that is free and you at least get a captive audience of people that are more interested in Infinti than your average population. Since the 3rd Gen were so weak in sales nobody really knows what these cars are about unless they are very specifically looking for them......given that my suggestion would be to think about Autotrader as that gets you a national coverage, since FL or CA cars are usually a better option for a 10 year old car people might be willing to drive to you or ship it.

After that if your car is in great shape still you might think about a consignment lot. While they don't give you the highest price they offer a better way of showing off a good clean used car.

That Z looks super nice, I always loved those old Z's, I have a 84' in my garage next to my 97' Q45.........I would love to have a 77' 280z one of these days but no place to park it. The 84' is a little heavier than yours but has power everything and is very comforable to drive with everything in full working order still to this day.

'Cash cars' that are 5 grand or less sell quickly on Craigslist, plus its free. Luxury buyers look on Craigslist too just as a matter of routine.

More expensive and sophisticated stuff sells on eBay if you put in the time and effort to take dozens of pics and write a thorough and exceedingly detailed and honest description.

I've gotten a lot of looks through Autotrader but haven't actually sold anything there yet.

OK, I've posted my Q for sale on the Forum. Couldn't figure out how to embed the pictures though. Comments, suggestions, encouragement is appreciated.

Well those posts work, she looks very clean....as I said, if it was 5k I would be booking my flight right now and posting my for sale on my 97'....Posting it up on Craigslist cannot hurt, it is free afterall.

If the price gets down to 5k e-mail me :) but i am sure you will get at least 2x that price.
