I just bought a 02 Max and I want to buy headers . All i have found are the OBX ... does and one know a good site to get them from? Cattman's web site is under construction.

Or does some one have a set to sell? :yesnod

OBX and Cattman are going to be your only 2 options for the VQ30. Unless you get something custom made.

I don't know if there are more options but, I have a VQ35 . Has any one used the OBX headers? Quaility and fitment are a concern for me . As it appears now the with Cattmans web site Mia OBX is my only option.

My bad on the VQ30 thing. I had the years confused on the switch to the VQ35. There aren't too many options out there for exhaust parts for the VQ35. Cattman's site is still running but they don't offer headers for the 02+ Maxima. Unless you can find something else, OBX is going to be your only option.

Cattman definitely makes headers for the 5.5 gens. The only real difference between them is the egr port that the 3.5l doesn't have. Shoot him an email, he's pretty good about being in touch with customers.

That is what I am afraid of the OBX are being sold on eBay . I would much rather pay more to have better fitment.

So I just have to weld the EGR closed or could a wide band O2 be put there?

I've got cattman headers on mine. Brian will know. I have the 3.0 ones on my 3.5. The only difference is the EGR port. You can either cut it off and weld it close or just get a plug. There was a time where some 3.5's had some of the 3.0 headers and the egr port and a plug was just used to fill it in. I think there is even a nissan part number for it.

So wait... The 3.0 headers will fit the 3.5?

With ebay, everything is "buyer beware." But, with that being said, I have a set of ebay headers and luckily have never had any issues with them. They perform well and I am very pleased with them. The ebay company/brand that sold them was called "Stone Mountain Racing" and are based out of Georgia, I believe. Might be something worth looking into.....
