I'm looking for shocks for the Q and have spent way too much time on-line tryng to save a buck.

The local parts store can get them in a few days, but I'm paying shipping and Tax.

Some of the on-line shops can get them but most are on the west coast and they're not cheap.

After a search I found a post about a group discount through the forum, but it seemed like there was a long waiting list. Is this still going?? Where are they coming from and is the price the same??

Does any one make an aftermarket boot kit yet??

Thanks in advance!!! Kirk

Look to your left at Southwest Motorsports. I can't see them as I have my pop-ups blocked. Call and tell them you are from NICO for a smoking deal. Joe also had some a while ago.

As Maxnix mentioned, call Alex at SouthWest, that's the official NICO deal (for Blues I think).

Have you given thought to whether you want Blues or Blacks?

Joe is tour pure.. :)

SWA is a good place to get the blues, but glad you went through Joe

I paid $264 from SWA i think, last fall...

You want all Blues, dont go black, youll be glad you did.. Youll want the extra stiffness in the front for stellar handling. Those iwth the STOCK springs its a perfect mix between handling and a stellar ride...

A worse ride and 1/2 the life from shocks!! :D

Thats about it, you would only do it IMHO for the look, as thers no handling benefti..

in addition to the above, add camber problems and reduced tire life, not to mention the added shock on EVERY component of the vehicle when traveling over bumps & rough pavement.........and potentially more squeaks and rattles as everything is taking a larger beating!

Not true.

The ride is no worse, just different. And the difference in handling is debateable. The "feel" is much more secure, and that's great for the "seat of the pants".

Shocks will be fine IF you go with blues. Blacks and Eibachs don't go together well, and will wear out fast (as Wes says).

Tire wear issue is easily remedied by a GOOD alignment.

I really like my Eibachs...

Hey, Greg, happy b-day (it is my mom's also).

Do you still have the springs you removed? Thinking about Coil Spring Specialties in the future so I can have a firmer ride and still preserve OEM geometry and uncool fender gap.

Certainly one thing that prevents me from doing any more suspension "upgrades" is the decrease in ride...

Its absolutely a dream with stock springs, stock tires, and tokico blues... I guess I woudnt want to change that, but the bling factor may take over the ride factor! :)

Its just so damn smooth on the highway!

i guess i'm leaning toward greg on this one!!! since the Q is not my everyday transportation, i'm looking for the ultimate in performance and handling!!! don't mind a little rough ride if it'll put a HUGE smile on my face when i take that first hard turn!!!! LOL
