It's time to get an alarm and I'm held up between dei products and the compustar stuff. Looking for high range, effeciency, and decent costs. Security forum has no traffic so I am posting this here. Thanks for any help.

If someone really wants your car or something in it an alarm with a killswitch won't do much. I would say put secondary switch hidden on the wire for the fuel pump. Your strategy needs to be to slow the thief down so he gets frustrated and leaves.

Another option is to put a really fuqing loud siren in the cabin of the car hidden with it's own battery back up. The thiefs adrenalin is pumping and he has 60 seconds on average to do what he needs to do and it gets harder when there is a siren making his ears bleed and the car won't start with a hot wire.

Man it would be nice to get some train horn's with a backup air tank to go off about 10 seconds after the alarm goes off.... inside the cabin.

Get a big klaxon horn in there. Even if he does get away with it, he wont be able to hear for a long time.
