best option for i35 headunit problems

Hey whatsup i just bought a 2002 infiniti i35 with only 34,000 miles on it. It needs new struts and the bose headunit skips my cds and wont play the tape.
I know i could either just replace it with another bose headunit, but i will probably still have that same problem down the road.
What should i do, i dont want to take the interior apart it is mint and i dont want any rattles
So i would like to just remove the headunit and replace it with a equal quality compatable aftermarket one, that can let me keep the steering wheel controls, and still give me the good quality f these speakers.
