Yes its supposed to help a little, but once u get it installed and you hear the roar when you floor it you don't want to have a feather foot.ace rothstein 81 wrote:You must do a lot of city driving... either that, or you've got a much heavier foot on the gas pedal. I go really easy on it. Is the CAI supposed to help the gas mileage at all?
There must something about having a 6 speed at higher altitude. My Versa cosistenly got better mileage throughout Colorado. If I had driven my vacation without the trailer, I would have matched his numbers. I think our car is part mountain goat.XterraVersa wrote:My low fuel light turns on at about 380 miles. The last few tanks I have gone at least 420 miles before refulling. Never added more than 11.8 gallons.
But I have the magic Versa that is averaging 36.7 mpg over 13,000+ miles
Then I would have to tend to say you've either not owned a car or are hiding something.Berny wrote:Yes, some Canadian Versas were fitted with US odometers, before Decembre 2006. But those in the US who says they can get more than 36 mi/USG should look for a faulty odometer too (indicating km instead of miles). I just cannot see how you can drive this car and get such a good mi/gal. I am not agressive on the pedal and on average I get 24 to 26, absolutely not more than that. I have never had a car that performed so badly compared to the US EPA rating.
Speaking as said oddity, my commute is about 2/3 "piedmont" driving, once I get out of the mountains - slightly rolling hills. And at the edge of the Blue Ridge is a grade where I am able to coast in neutral for about 2.5 miles, which helps some. (Of course, I do have to come back up the same grade every evening!)Ever Victorious wrote:As a point of oddity, it DOES seem like Versas like hills and mountains better than flatlands. I just can't explain KC5F. j/k
The odometer is accurate. I have compared the trip mileage to work with GPS, mapquest, google maps & other vehicles. My versa has an accurate odometer.Berny wrote:Yes, some Canadian Versas were fitted with US odometers, before Decembre 2006.
