Yeah, really any of Morricone's scores for Spaghetti Westerns are kick ***.

Also, I can't believe I forgot about Howard Shore's score for Lord of the Rings. It's so different from his other stuff, and it is completely and totally appropriate for the genre. It's better by far than anything John Williams has put out in the last decade or so.

Well I'd have to disagree you with you there. John Williams has produced some amazing scores in the past couple of years - A.I., Minority Report and Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban . I actually have a slight preference of any of those three over the LOTR trilogy score. Someone needs to give this man an Oscar, dammit!

Crazy movie, good soundtrack. I forgot about that movie...

The score from Great Expectations (based on d!ck novel) rocks. Its mostly classical music, but absolutely controls the tone/emotion of the movie. Thats the job of a score/soundtrack, IMO.
