I checked over a 15 mile strech of the expressway .I granny'd her between approx. 60 - 72 MPH . The road was not perfectly flat , some slight down , up hill . Computer said 24.2 MPG.

At 6200 miles I'm getting a solid 20mpg with short freeway/stop & go trips. How many miles do you have and any problems yet?

I have just passed 31,000miles . No problems to report . Car is rock solid . It is quite amazing how many people love the car when they first see it in real life , and it is still a dog in the showroom.Reminds me of my 91Q when I first got it . Mine is diamond graphite with premium . I did the tranny TSB , helped for a while , now getting weird again . Is there any other step to the TSB besides reprogram / reset of the TCU ( trans. control unit) ?

My M is getting the same city MPG as my 91Q : 13-14 MPG . But I subconciously drive the M quite harder then the 'ole lady'.The best hwy milage I ever got in the Q is also 20 MPG .

LOL ,,,,,,,,,,, could care less about my mileage. fill up maybe once or twice a month!!!! life is good!!! i do average anywhere from 12 to 16 mpg, but i do drive her hard when i get in. will be doing the plenum, knock sensors and O2 sensors soon, so we will see... no offense ryan,,,i do love the g35 but would never trade my Q for one,,,,the M45 on the other hand...........jeff

On my M45 (with about 6200 miles), I am getting about 15 to 16 mpg in mixed highway-city driving. Long distance driving tends to get about 21 to 22 mpg. I push the car hard, though! :)

Why is it the firebreating LS engines from GM get 30+ on the freeway? I know they are over a liter larger 5.7 vs 4.5, and they have a 6 speed tranny... Is it because they are of a lower tech design? Those guys have the best of both worlds... huge v8 power, and awesome mileage....

My 94Q w/ 4.08: yesterday my absolute best of 24 mpg.In 200 miles of hiway driving, cruise set first third at 75, then at 80 last third (or quarter) going about 85 mph.But all hiway hardly ever touched the brakes

24? That's friggin awesome..

you have the JWT ecu, and the 4.08...

I wonder if the level ten helps out gas mileage at all, due it's better efficiceny?

I drive at 75/80 all the time... the Q feels like this is what it likes to cruise at...

Speaking of the northstars.... The 2000+ run on cheap-o gas..

Of course, according to Infiniti the VK45DE can run on cheap-gas, with no detrimental effects on the engine..

Technically the VH45DE can run on the cheap stuff.. Not recommended but possible....

If Fred is getting 24 with his JWT (which would actually HELP gas mileage) and the 4.08, I should be able to get at least 25...
