The drag strip was too flat for me to roll so I used neither.
Although when I'm on a hill or something I use e-brake, don't want to try braking and revving and depressing clutch all at the same time, too damn stressful on the leg.

you know you can hold the car while revving and just holding the clutch, you dont even have to rev (unless your getting ready to race). Im sure you know this but by using the break on hills and stuff seems like more work than just holding the clutch.

pop the clutch at 1.5 k rpm, but you have to be sure it stays at 1.5k and only starts climbing once the transmission is fully engaged. In result you'll have a near-perfect neck-snapping launch.

I was thinking around 1.5 also because I used to launch at around 2500, but then though maybe I should watch the rpms and see what it goes down to when I pop the clutch. At which it went downt to 1500rpms.

yeah the 1 and a half grand dump is the best for us lacking an lsd...for that added edge you can bleed a few pounds off the back tires for the race (so what if someone calls you a cheater for it, its not like running slicks)

It also depend on road surface and what not. I was driving around the other day and did about the same launch on two consecutive lights one was a lot slicker surface than the other and my tires squeeled like biotch when I went over the stop line and just kept spinning the other time I had a little cherp when on the line and I was gone.

I launched at 5k with a near stock, non-lsd ka24e. The track was well prepared. Anything below that, and I would just bog. I had a little wheel spin, but was hitting 2.0's
