LOL, yea they do that sometimes. I have a mini-dachsund, a little fat, but still cute. Too bad I don't have a digicam.themadscientist wrote:I can't stand dogs, here is Nismo. Don't say the D-word around her, she is convinced she is just a short fuzzy human, very strange.
Wow, $1000. I can make good use of that money on other things besides a dog, *couch*240*cough*. But then again on the other side of the deal, those guys are making huge. A couple thousand every few weeks is not a bad income, but poor dogs. Having to have procreate so often must be exhausting.skydragoness5 wrote:On a different note, but still dog-related:
Can you believe there are backyard-breeders out there breeding standard poodles to golden retrievers? and even to labrador retrievers? These ***holes are then selling the pups for close to $1000! They're calling them "goldendoodles" or "labradoodles" ...
It's not a breed! It's just a damn mutt! And an ugly one at that.. but they're trying to make it like a 'designer dog' because it's all the rage to have a hypo-allergenic dog that doesn't shed. Damn, if you need all that then you shouldn't own a dog at all. I just can't believe people are paying top-dollar to support these retards who are only looking for a profit.
Yeah. It's ludicrous. These people are making it huge, and in the end, who suffers? The dogs. Look at every popular breed out there, like the Lab, the Golden, the German Shepherd, the Doberman, the Cocker Spaniel, the Rottweiler... the list goes on. All of these breeds have had their decade when they were a 'fad' breed that everyone wanted to own, or are still the fad now. Then you get irresponsible breeders who breed dogs indiscriminently, never establish pedigrees, and never breed for health. For example, the German Shepherd has been bred for looks, now it has 89 inherited health disorders. It's pretty sad. One of the dog trainers that used to teach classes at the pet store i work at lost both of her G. Shep's in the past year, one was 12, and one was only 2yrs old.yelnatsch517 wrote:

I've never owned a dog but really enjoy friends' ones, and that is one cute/cool-lookin' dog.skydragoness5 wrote:Lancashire Heeler (from same area as the Corgi):

It's not a breed! It's not recognized by the AKC or anything, it's just a new fad...for just a damn mutt!
