See, watching this video without sound (not sure if that matters or not), my take on it was that a skinny kid who was tired of getting bullied by the big fat kid decided to stand up for himself. This, then, resulted in the little skinny kid getting shown why the big kid wass the bully and the skinny kid was the victim.

Am I wrong?

Little kid is a retard. Does he not realize that kid is much bigger.

Darwin would approve of this video except for the fact that the big guy didn't finish him...

While it is impossible to determine who was initially the instigator, it was the "skinny kid" who threw the first punch. The "fat kid" kept his cool and tried to let it pass without saying a word. When the "skinny kid" kept on going with the instigation, the "fat kid" ended it once and for all. Awesome.

$1,000,000 says the skinny kid was the bully. I had dumb ***'s try this with with me. They would be like "im 150lbs and can run from you", me "maybe so, but dont let me get my hands on you". Got my hands on one kids neck, and never had anything else said to me.

Seriously...youre 150lbs, im 250lbs.....are stupid?

and WTH is up with little kids always act like they are boxers and jump around like a bunny rabbit

WAY TO GO CASEY!!!!!!!

Maybe the skinny twerp and the dumba** who faceplanted into the mall fountain while texting can file a class-action suit against intelligence.

Too bad it doesn't really always work that way. The big kid's actions could be deemed as too excessive, and judging from the way the skinny kid hobbled off, I wouldn't be surprised if permanent damage is claimed from his actions. Just saying, anyway...

Dave, that kind of thinking is what's wrong with society. If you punch someone in the face without provocation and get body-slammed, it's your own damn fault, regardless of the damage it causes. I'm so sick of people winning cases like that.

Okay, whatever. If I hit you with a baseball bat because you slapped me in the face, no harm, right? The concrete that kid landed on is harder than that.

This is the reason why I think something happened or will because of that. Sorry if you don't see that...

I wont be writing any sternly worded letters, but tbh you can put me in the "a little excessive" camp.

He was being a stupid, ***hole of a little kid and all... but play that video back and give a good listen.
That was a HARD slam. I wouldn't be surprised if that kid never walks right again.

I know many of you will say "serves him right"... but really? What could likely be broken bones, hospital bills and even life long ramifications are what you get for acting like a bit of a punk when you were 9 years old?

Like I said, I wont be rallying behind either of their civil suits, and I don't blame the big kid either... how much can we expect a kid like that to understand proper use of force? But after the fact I can't help but think "too much..."

If I were responsibly for the bigger kid, he get the two part "Good for sticking up for yourself.... BUT" speech where we would also discuss how to stand up for yourself WITH OUT putting the other guy in the hospital and physical therapy just because he slapped you like a b****.

That's totally different. I heard something a while back that applies here. With police, they are allowed to go "one step" above a perp's violence level. If they're coming at you with nothing but fists, you can tase generally, but not use a gun. If they come at you with a knife, you can use a gun, etc.

This was hand to hand. There were no weapons. Hitting with a bat would be excessive because it is a weapon and shows excessive intent to harm. That principle in and of itself is why I feel that what our larger friend here's actions were completely justifiable. If the big kid had used a weapon, it would probably be a different story. Maybe the skinny bully kid won't be such a little s*** in the future.

Ok, it might have been a little excessive. You can see how much force the big kid used to throw the other little s*** down. I agree with Red Coupe about the "way to stand up for yourself, BUT" thing. Still, I have to back the big kid in this situation. I hate little kids... mostly because of little kids like the one getting slammed. After all, you guys talk about permanent damage. What about the permanent emotional damage bullies like that do to other kids. It's just as bad, if not worse.

Wow, I was not expecting that to happen at all. LOL... :rotflmao

...

BUT what I was expecting was this thread to start spiraling downward into a bitchfight.

Anyways, I would hope that little skinny punk learned that if he's gonna fight someone, it probably should someone near his own size. :)

Emotional damage is something I am surprisingly ok with :gapteeth:

I'd kinda file it in the "man the f*** up" category.

Kids say and do tons mean stuff to each other... part of being a kid, if anything its good practice because the world isn't out to hold your d!ck while you urinate.

The was a radio host who was a classic a-hole. When people complained about what he was doing to peoples self esteem he had a line that went something like "They call it self esteem because it comes from your self".

So some scrawny little brat was mean to him... f*** that kid, look at him... would you even want that kid to like you?
Rather then worry about possible emotional damage inflicted by some worthless little kid we should be teaching the bullied how to be secure in who they are, or make positive changes toward issues they would like to change.

I find it easier to blame a person for physical violence then emotional, because the victim has to allow the emotional to happen. Neither should be encouraged, but emotional abuse does little but highlight the issues a person already has with themselves.

I think emotional damage is what I would be more worried about...its what sadly triggers suicide or extreme violence...just like the kids who get bullied their whole life and then bring guns to school because the emotional damage has turned into a mental lapse of judgement.

Its sad that bullying happens in school or anywhere. Kids should be allowed to defend themselves, and I think the skinny kid got what he deserved. He had his friend video tape him beating up on the outcast fat kid. He punched the fat kid in the face, what if the much bigger kid punched back and knocked out teeth, caused damage to the facial bones that required plastic surgery to fix. Would that be alright because it was a punch returned with a punch?

Actions have consequences. You wanna pick on someone, you'll pay for it eventually....

Yes, I do think that if a punch was returned with a punch it would make it better. But unless fat boy was Mike Tyson, I don't see your scenario becoming reality.

It's not me I'm worried about. I have a friend who is a rather large guy. He was teased A LOT in school and from all of that, he is extremely sensitive. He looks like a tough dude, but constantly thinks that people are talking s*** about him and makes him pretty awkward in public and at parties, etc. I hate kids...

orangeNblue, i can testify to what you said about emotional damage causing one to use extreme violence.

I was a crybaby when i was younger so i experienced a littly bullying here and there throughout every grade all the way up the 8th. at the end of the 8th grade some kid decided to egg me twice in front of a bunch of other kids. well the rage built up in me and he saw it and took off running. in the midst of running i saw a 2x4 with 2 nails sticking up out of it and picked it up in less than a second while running. kid hopped the fence to safety where 4 of his friends were waiting for him.....i was not about to get jumped...lol.....anyways, i had planned to make a bloodbath out of a fellow school mate.

the emotional damage caused from prolonged bullying is not a simple "man the **** up" matter. If the bullied doesn't end up hurting/killing themselves, they may turn on their bullies with multiples times the payback as we see in this video. i heard a snap when the bully hit the ground and i'm thinking that his ankle is done for.
