As of yesterday, I am the proud new owner of a 1993 240sx hatch. I already ordered my redtop sr20det but still need to purchase an intercooler kit. Now I don't wanna spend all my college savings on an intercooler kit but don't want a p.o.s. either. any suggestions? I was thinking maybe a godspeed, but can't seem to find anyone who has used it. I'd love a greddy but they are so damn expensive. help?

p.s. remember, bang for my buck!

Why anyone would need a bigger intercooler on a stock T25 is beyond me.

uhhh less piping equals less turbo lag equals more response. the pbm intercooler kit is amazing. ebay is good for the money, dont get me wrong but if u want a good intercooler get the pbm.

I have to agree . I just dont like hacking up my car for an intercooler . Although i have a td06 it shouldn't be a difference.

My other parts i ordered from them should be here soon.

^^^EddieGordo... lol... You play?

Anyways, I looked into the PBM HMIC. Talk about pimp s***. Doesn't block your radiator, so ontop of giving you lower operating temps and greater response from shorter piping, it's also incognito hiding your intercooler from snooping cops and theives. It supports 400+hp and you buy have to hack up too much stuff. Not much to hate here.

Gotta ditch pop-up motors on S13's and A/C setups though. I was already planning on ditching my pop-ups, but no A/C in Texas?!? Man, I dunno about that one...

The PBM is pretty good quality, kind of a pain to install but worth it in the end probably for the money it costs compared to poor quality intercoolers. You can sometimes find a Greddy kit for about $500.

Greddy without a doubt. Go Greddy or go home especially if you got a big T3/T4 turbo. T25 you can get a smaller core and have better boost response. My T70 is a little laggy, but not much lag as you think. Once it gets to 5,10psi you better hold on to the steering wheel it goes instant 15-20psi. Real "Peaky" turbo but I love it. My friend said it glued him back to the seat and intimidated him a little bit lol.

I have a love hate with the pbm hmic, I love the short piping but would never let my ac go to spool a little faster. And I have a huge ebay fmic(31x12x3) overkill sure..

^^^ :werd: I was at the shop yesterday, talking about considering the PBM HMIC. Another guy there said it got up to 115 degrees in his car the day before.

Yeah. Fux that.

without ac I would not drive during daylight hours(black car florida..) I went 3 years without it, being in a dohc swap sohc chassis killed it, looking back its very doable.

However a local guy has the kit and said he was thinking about a smaller condenser like on a honda..custom lines...
